Before the day
We’re so pleased you’re joining us for our tree planting day. To help prepare for your visit, please familiarise yourselves with the below details about the event and share with all of those in your visiting party.
The starting point for the day will be Bottom Farm, Hargrave, Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, NN9 6BP. This can be found by Sat Navs using the postcode: NN9 6BP. Parking will be available on site. Unfortunately due to the location of the tree planting site, disabled-access is not available for this event.
The plan for the morning is to have a brief look inside the production area where we press LEAF Marque rapeseed into our Farrington’s Mellow Yellow Cold Pressed Rapeseed Oil. As this is a food production area, you will be asked to read and sign our visitor agreement on the morning (as shown below). Please restrict the amount of jewellery and perfumes/aftershave you wear on the day, this is to limit the potential for contamination of product. We do not allow food or drink to be taken into the production area and we ask you to put all personal possessions (phone, keys, coins, jewellery) in your pockets for the duration of the production tour.
The tree planting will take place a short walk from the farm (approx. 10 minutes) on ground that is uneven/muddy in places. Please wear suitable sturdy shoes/wellies and dress appropriately, checking the weather forecast before the event. Once we arrive at the tree planting area, please be aware that there is a small pond and running brook nearby, so please be cautious, especially with young children.
Tea, coffee and other beverages will be available from No. 13 Coffee Roasters and cakes will be provided. These will be labelled with allergens, though please try notify us in advance if you or anyone in your party has any allergies.
All under 18’s must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Adults will be responsible for signing the visitor agreement and media permission form for accompanying under 18’s. As this is a food production site, we do ask for any dogs (or other pets) to please be left at home for this event.
Smoking (including e-cigarettes and vaping) is only permitted in the outside designated smoking area, you will be shown this on the day.
This event has been organised by Gina who will be taking photos of the day to share on our social media. When you sign in, you will be asked to give permission for Farrington Oils Ltd to use your name/image/photograph in publications and advertisements produced by or for Farrington Oils Ltd. If you do not consent to photography please notify Gina.
We encourage you to take lots of photos throughout the event, but please consider who is in your photos and try to limit it to only people you know. Visitor agreement
Please read the following then sign in. All adults must sign in and parents / guardians of under 18’s sign on behalf of the under 18’s.
Food Safety Required for visiting the production area
BY SIGNING IN YOU CONFIRM THAT YOU HAVE READ AND AGREE TO ADHERE TO THIS VISITOR AGREEMENT
When entering the production area please:
– Do not take food or drink into the production area
– Ensure that your phone, keys and all personal possessions remain safely in your pockets at all times e.g phones, keys, coins etc
– Remove any watches/jewellery (including earrings) and keep safe in a pocket
AS YOU ARE ENTERING A FOOD PREPARATION AREA, PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU CAN ANSWER “NO” TO THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS:
– Have you suffered from diarrhoea or vomiting in the last 7 days?
– Have you travelled outside Europe in the last 2 weeks?
– Are you currently suffering from any:
Skin trouble affecting your hands, arms or face?
Boils, styes or septic fingers?
Discharge from your eyes, ears or gums?
Sneezing or coughing?
IF YOU HAVE ANSWERED YES TO ANY OF THE QUESTIONS ABOVE, PLEASE LET US KNOW PRIOR TO ENTERING THE FOOD PREPARATION AREA.
Media Consent
Images will be taken by us on the day of the event to use in social media, by signing the ‘sign in sheet’ you will be asked to give permission to confirm you and on (behalf of your party) understand that:
– Images may also be placed on web sites managed by Farrington Oils for public relations and advertising purposes.
– The publication may appear on the Internet/World Wide Web (WWW);
– The publication may appear in print, electronic, or video media;
– The publication may enable readers to identify you.
