Radio 4 visits Bottom FarmIt was a cold January day when Radio 4’s Food Programme, Sheila Dillon visited Bottom Farm, to see for herself the story behind Farrington’s Mellow Yellow. We started off, Wellingtons on, in a windy field looking at the growing crop. Then to the production barn to see the press in action, gently squeezing the precious oil from its seed, before retreating to the warmth of the kitchen, to try some recipes made with Mellow Yellow. We were delighted with Sheila’s obvious enthusiasm for Mellow Yellow, and the whole story behind Farrington Oils. She even took some flapjacks back on the train to London, for her and the rest of the team to share in the office. It was great fun making the programme.
