Another Award for Mellow Yellow

August Bank Holiday weekend was spent meeting passionate Northamptonshire customers at the lovely Holdenby House for the Holdenby Food Show. I had a great weekend promoting our rapeseed oil range of products; which was topped off by receiving the runner up award for the best product in the Northamptonshire Food and Drink Awards.

The awards were a closely fought competition with a great array of local food judged by the panel of expert judges; Food writer, Sophie Grigson; Head Chef at the Brook Hall Cookery School, Stephen Bulmer; Waitrose Food Illustrated Editor, William Sitwell. I was delighted to be presented with our award from friend and long standing supporter of Mellow Yellow, Adam Gray – Michelin starred Executive Chef for Rhodes Twenty Four.

The winner of the Best Local Product was Sauls of Spratton with their Potted Beef, deserved winners for such a fantastic tasting product. This is the third time our Mellow Yellow Rapeseed oil has been runner up to a meat product in prestigious awards, but as Sauls are a great local stockist of our products, we are really pleased for them, and congratulate them for selling the best two food products from our county.
